ETFO has continually expressed concerns about the new experimental digital EQAO assessment for Grades 3 and 6. And behold the platform is still down. Two days with technical difficulties. Wasting resources & time and further adding to the stress and anxiety of all in #onted
💥 TAKE ACTION:
Join us to tell the Minister of #onted to stop standardized, digital testing of children. We should be focused on the well-being and mental health of students, not adding #EQAO related anxiety and stress.

“Now would be a good time to get rid of all #EQAO tests. They’ve been cancelled before; the world didn't collapse. This is a waste of govt money & a waste of time,” said @etfopresident. #onted

Appreciate the support and love pouring in to support the book and continuing these important dialogues! Lets cancel EQAO PERMANENTLY!

Neither of my children sat EQAO. When it started DD was in grade 3. I kept her home. The testing lasted a week. Ridiculous. That was that. They both had to do Grade 10 Literacy to graduate, but seriously, if you're not literate in Grade 10, how does the test help? no one noticed?
The results are in, & they’re great...
Proud of my boy today, who, back in June, refused to be a child labourer in @FordNation’s cynical political machine.

Idea #3 for the government.
Eliminate #EQAO and all of the bureaucracy attached to EQAO, then invest that $100 million directly into classrooms every year!

Isn't it time for real talk about Ontario's test-driven assessments with EQAO? Testing that works for children is testing that is meaningful, measures daily progress, and is designed by educators! #onpoli https://t.co/kwbWNxdMXn #ONTed
I opted my 5 kids out of this politically motivated exercise from time 1st intro'd. Is also unfair to spec. ed students who working below grade level but are required to write a Grade-level test. Very damaging.
