Got my first ever cavity filled at the dentist today, and now I have a NIHSS of 4 😂🙈 the entire right side of my face is numb and I can’t stop laughing at how bad my facial asymmetry is when I try to smile. Probably need a swallow screen because drinking water is a MESS, omg

@LovesMedGloves They went with the fancy Stryker beds! And tbh I don’t know how they like them because we only had one at the time that I left (which was like 6 months after that tweet). BUT, any time I’ve encountered them in the wild since then (flight nurse now), they’re pretty cool!

Okay ICU friends. My hospital is trialing new ICU beds that we’ll hopefully upgrade to next year. We currently have old crappy Hill-Rom beds and are looking at three ICU bed options: Stryker, a “newer” Hill-Rom bed, and Umano (which apparently used to manufacture Stryker?)

I would have been fucking THRILLED if I got to see a MedEvac helicopter land and talk to a flight team when I was in high school. They would have had to remove me from the helicopter. Every day I’m at work I’m still shocked that I get paid for this. And they didn’t care ONE BIT.

When did high school students become so lame? We took the helicopter to a nearby ER for a “show and tell” basically for a high school leadership program and tell me why these kids didn’t give one shit?! Like none of them wanted to touch anything or get in the helicopter…

@PlantMamaRN Dude this was me too. My pit got up to 20 after they broke my water and I was having no pain with contractions so I got a break. Was back up to 20 the next morning..they had to break my water a second time. THEN it started hurting lmao.

@nicunursekatie I even got my NREMT recert reimbursed 😂 Tbh they have some of the best benefits out of any hospital system I’ve worked for. Including 6 weeks paid maternity and paternity leave during FMLA, then for maternity you can take an extra 6 weeks unpaid or do short term disability.

@km00_k @aemoreira81 @SPuro88 I was working CTICU when Trump spoke at a commencement at one of our local colleges during his presidency. We were the designated unit should something happen. Our protocol was the same. Fully staffed with flexibility for a 1:1, plus an open bed and both CT surgeons available.

@RNSuperHero My previous two jobs were both Night Shift at hospitals with one hospitalist in house at night and no in house intensivists. We had an outsourced eICU at my last job and that was interesting. We also didn’t have pharmacy at night lol. I got very used to the autonomy!
