CripAntiquity calling for papers for a hybrid conference for July of 2025! This conference is looking to examine disability in Greek and Latin literature, art, & archaeology in the ancient world, experiences of disabled scholars today, and reception studies of ancient disability.
Super excited to announce that @hannah_vogel8 and I are doing a hybrid soft book launch on October 19, 2024, coincidentally on World Archaeology Day, for our book @DisabilityEgypt. We'd love to have you join us, registration here: https://t.co/Btc3lmpkTC
Thank you to ARCE-OC and the Bowers museum, and ARCE-NC and Berkeley MELC for having me this weekend 🥰 it was an amazing experience, and not only because I got to talk about the place I love (watch here! https://t.co/yk5iQzt4n5)
how are we supposed to just go about in a country where most people seem fine with this non-stop slaughter of Palestinians while every institution is justifying it or making it seem you’re crazy & overdramatic about a genocide sponsored by this country. fkn dystopian hellscape.
Made the mistake of mentioning the *other sites* in my Int’l Archaeology Day post and it seems to have silenced my account 🙊 follow me at one of those for posts from now on (account names in bio).
A day late (shifting to BlueSky @ ESSEgyptologist and Threads @ eggsoverreasy) but in honor of Int’l Archaeology Day check out this write up I did for @Princeton about my dissertation excavation!

Rais Ibrahim, the chief technician of the excavations of the American missions in Abydos, has passed away from our world today. I pray to God to forgive him and have mercy on him. To eternal paradise, Rais Ibrahim.
