I can't believe that @fantasy_top_ shut down.

The project was live for two years, raised $5M from VCs, and still ended by extracting $15M from users.

The core game was abandoned over a year ago. Every pivot after that (prediction markets, mindshare tracking, social graph betting) was just the team chasing new ideas instead of building on what Fantasy already had.

And now the shutdown rolls out with the same pattern we've seen a hundred times:

→ VCs reportedly refunded to dodge legal risk
→ Retail left stuck with worthless cards they paid for

The community took the loss while seed investors had all their money refunded.

All scammers need to be held accountable asap.

Fantasy Top will only refund seed investors to avoid legal action.

They have extracted $15 Million from their users, which have been manipulated and lied to for over two years.

I personally lost over 22 ETH, being a day one supporter.

This team is only capable of LYING - they are artists at manipulating the audience and Defizard’s tweet is a perfect example.

If you weren’t active on @fantasy_top_ and just read the founders’ side full of larps like 87% people being in the profits, you will have an unhealthy delusion of Fantasy Top failing because of market conditions, not finding PMF or other bullshit.

The reality is the TEAM is the ONLY reason Fantasy Top failed.

They NEVER had any skin in the game. They never fundamentally UNDERSTOOD their own product because they never played it.

Fantasy Top grew bigger than any of these French grifters ever thought would be possible.

They gave up on the core game over a YEAR ago, showing everyone how incompetent, lazy and full of themselves these grifters are.

They lied about the runway on @notthreadguy podcast last year, claiming there are AT LEAST THREE MORE YEARS.

Then, they stole a lot of funds from the community.

They lied about $FAN token coming.
They lied about new updates and releases.
They lied to keep us spending.
They lied to you on this rug announcement - 87% of people were not profitable, it’s a lie.
All users who supported them from Day One got rugged. Only those who jumped in for a quick flip during Blast Gold managed to get out alive.

They lied about being fully self sustainable. That is pure lies, because they pocketed $15 Million from the users.

Guess how much the cumulative community losses are?

You got it. The core users are down $15 Million, the same amount this scammy team claims is “theirs”.

They even lied about the $100k jackpot which was hit, but will pay out only $25k

They are such scammers that they even STOLE the last week of treasury and cut the tournaments short to save some money and (presumably) pay off the jackpot winner.

Anything and everything this team says is a LIE.

It has ALWAYS been.
