The residents of Colton are ready for positive change, and I believe John Echevarria is the leader prepared to meet that challenge and guide the city toward continued success. I encourage the people of Colton to vote John Echevarria for Mayor.”
Police Chief – Darren L. Goodman
✨Endorsement Announcement ✨
I am honored to receive this endorsement from my boss and friend. Having earned his trust and support is a testament to the work we have done together and his belief that I am ready to be your mayor.
“I am proud to endorse John Echevarria for Mayor of Colton. John is a dedicated public servant & accomplished council member, as well as a devoted husband & father. He is a man of integrity whose character is unwavering and whose commitment to public safety remains top priority.”
It was an honor to attend the Ribbon Cutting event for the Colton Funeral Home earlier this month.
They added a spacious new patio and gathering room for guests to spend time together during services.
I appreciate the invite from our friends at the Colton Chamber of Commerce.
Remember, this is our city, so let’s all do our part to keep it beautiful. Below are the links with more information. Thank you.

✨Courtesy Reminder ✨
As a Colton employee and resident, I wanted to provide another reminder that Street Sweeping Enforcement will resume on June 1, 2026. Please pay attention to posted street signs to avoid receiving a citation or fine.
Street sweeping happens Monday - Thursday between 6AM - 12PM. So let your neighbors know to refrain from parking in those areas, on the posted days & times, so our streets & gutters can be cleaned.
Please share this video and help spread the word throughout our community.
I wanted to thank the students and staff for the wonderful invite to play some bingo at the Colton Middle School. This fundraiser will help some of their programs succeed and I was happy to be there. See you all at the next one!

We had a wonderful time and big shout out to the @bmtparks team for hosting an awesome community event. The race sold out and people from all over the Inland Empire came through to support. See you all next time!

I had a great time representing Colton yesterday at the Breezing Through Beaumont 5K Race. It was great to collaborate the @coltonrunclub with the @beaumontrunnersclub since we are both smaller cities with fairly newer running teams. Our squads both did well and crushed it!
Project Start Date:
Monday May 11, 2026 - Friday May 15, 2026
Project Work Schedule:
9am - 3pm / Mon - Fri
All advanced street digital reader boards traffic controls have already been installed for the duration of the project.
Please plan accordingly and drive safely.
Hello residents & visitors of the Cooley Ranch Business District. I was informed of an upcoming construction street project which may cause delays from the Washington Street bridge to the Fiesta Village Family Fun Park, specifically the 1300 block of East Washington Street.
I had a great time attending the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Annual Fiesta. Speaking with lots of parishioners was important to hear their concerns and offer my thoughts. Thanks for the invite and congratulations on another successful fundraising event!
@ImmaculateCES
This event sells out every year and we are certain this one will too, so get signed up early! Great time, for a great cause. Look forward to seeing you there!
Also, if you witness any abuse to our wildlife, please dial 9-1-1 immediately and get the report in writing. Help authorities by providing as many details as possible so they can investigate the incidents. Thank you and please help us keep Reche Canyon safe, clean, and beautiful.
✨ CANYON SAFETY REMINDERS ✨
As a 24 year resident of Reche Canyon, I have been blessed to share our neighborhood with some awesome people and beautiful wildlife. My neighbors regularly inform me of matters happening in our area and I appreciate the information.
Another safety tip I wanted to share is that it is unlawful to feed, pet, harass, disturb or harm our wildlife. Please do not bother them in any way. I hope you can share this bulletin with your networks so we can help protect our wildlife, more specifically our beloved burros.
I wanted to give a big Shout Out to our Colton Public Works Department for recently installing the new Speed Signs along Reche Canyon Road. Our canyon residents have expressed their concerns about the speeding vehicles and this tool will help remind motorists to slow down.
These LED signs will also aid law enforcement with monitoring unsafe driving conditions.
Last year, I noticed similar signs along La Cadena Drive in our city and I notified our city staff. The team got on it and placed some signs in the canyon within our city limits. Thank You!
