Gaza is completely destroyed, the Iran war keeps getting prolonged because Israel can't stop bombing Lebanon, and a new NYT article explores systematic sexual assault committed by the Israeli military and we want to integrate their military with ours? When does it stop!
The National Defense Authorization Act is a critical vehicle for ensuring national security, but my top priority will always be making sure those goals respect the people, land, and culture of Hawaiสปi.
My goal in these negotiations was to keep land condemnation entirely out of this defense bill. Working with the leadership of our committee, we are ensuring federal overreach is stopped at the starting line and that any future for our training lands must be built on good-faith negotiation with our local community. But our work is far from over.

@RepJillTokuda Why did you against an amendment to strip Section 224 from the NDAA? Why would we want Israel's military to be further intertwined with ours when it's clear that they are doing a genocide!
@USMCLiberal@DannyKPolitics It sounds like he's pushing back against the weaponization of SA to justify Israel's mass murder of an entire people. That's not downplaying it or excusing it, that's saying one horrific incident doesn't justify another especially if one those is still happening.
@USMCLiberal@DannyKPolitics In the clip you shared he said it doesn't matter when it comes to the Palestinian's "right to a life of dignity". In other words, he's saying that any rape that took place on 10/7/2023 doesn't justify the current ongoing genocide of Palestinians, to include systemic rape in jails
@USMCLiberal@DannyKPolitics That's the clip? He's saying that mass rapes committed by those who did the October 7th attack doesn't justify a genocide of the Palestinian people. I don't get with the issue is.
I mean, is that a bad take?
