@LexisPodcast@jessnorledge@PeterJStockwell Thank you for the latest Lexis episode about stylistics. 🙏 Is there somewhere where we can read about the Pocahontas analysis? 😊
@LexisPodcast Just wanted to say a massive THANK YOU! for putting out a great podcast. You've been a great help during my A-level studies. Stand-out episodes for me: the gender specials and @SociolingEm on waves of sociolinguistics ☺️🙏🙏
@LexisPodcast Hello 👋
Huge thanks for the gender special episodes last year. 🙏🙏In ep43, Lisa mentioned a cluster of studies mapping across identities for different questions. Could I be horrendously cheeky and ask if you might be happy to share this please? ☺️
@EngLangBlog The subject of this article was interesting, but my favorite part was discovering that "anymore" can be used in a positive sentence in some varieties:
"While in modern English, soon is only used in its sense of “shortly” anymore, we do see echoes of its original meaning..." 😊

@McnicolStewart I don't know about this - I'm not a teacher. But I do love the way you used alliteration of the harsh plosive in "pushing ... panacea" to emphasise how much you deride the over-identification of this feature by students.
@LexisPodcast Edgar Schneider's Dynamic Model of Post Colonial World Englishes (2007) is in all the textbooks. But his 2014 concept of Transnational Attraction is difficult to pin down. Could any of our wonderful podcast hosts shed some light on what this is please?
