@Ms_AbigailRouse I completely agree...I got my undergrad degree in journalism and wanted to be a copy editor but ultimately it didn't work out because less and less copy editors are hired/wanted because of these programs you're talking about.

This article was made in 2009, and what I find funny is it starts with "what if your phone is smart enough to order and pay for your coffee?". Today, is common for people to use apple pay. Technology is an exciting thing, but do we really know how it's effecting us as a society?

@rhode_alexa I definitely agree with you on the anxiety part of cell phones/social media. It got to be too much for me, and I decided not to interact with social media. I've found life to be a lot more enjoyable and less stressful!

At the same time there are limitations with this technology. Laptops are not very affordable pieces of technology, and furthermore they can sometimes be more distracting than helpful during classes. I think laptops actually take away from the learning experience sometimes.

A technology I interact with a lot, especially school-wise, is my laptop. I think laptops are great ways to quickly take notes, work on my homework portably, and was especially helpful to have for COVID zoom classes as well. #NOT #ed109

It's interesting to me to see how tightly the advancement of technology and student learning is linked. As technology grows, students have a more of a difficult time focusing in the classroom because of how students use technology outside of school (cell phones). #ed109 #CLT
