@PeterSchiff@gregarizona trying to hitch Bitcoin to the AI wagon...as part of the AI trade.
Are they? Who is? I've seen it hitched to IWM (laughably), and general high beta tech (sounds reasonable) and "digital gold"/ $ debasement (could be), but not the AI trade
@joao_wedson@Alphractal interesting. I think that the ETFs have, in some part, dampened the usability / efficacy of historical onchain thresholds, as the ETFs are a significant participant whose activity is particularly well captured in the onchain metrics
@dlawant Def too early. Today has 13th July 2023 vibes (the day of the Ripple ruling): sudden US regulatory/political headline + massive crypto-specific reprice + alts/high beta outperform BTC. In 2023, within 3 weeks, the entire rally was fully retraced
@JustDeauIt@cbaihao you're comparing apples with oranges. The mining ban was forced. The pivot to AI compute is economically sensible. You're comparing 2 totally diff regimes. 70% probability BTC visits $32k in the next 12 months (RIP altcoins)
@Jamie1Coutts@UpsideDrift with the US10y & 30y at 2007 levels, AI winning the hearts, minds & marginal dollars of investors & net margin debt at record highs (up 80% in 2 years), I think it's a brave man who bets on BTC resolving durably higher any time in the next 6-12 months
@cryptoquant_com@RugaResearch a sample size of 2 shown in the charts you posted? and you add "That combination has historically resolved to the upside". seriously?
@caprioleio Oil going up is one thing, but the people who are calling for a BTC bottom in October failed to see a 102 month trend line vs QQQ broken in Feb. BTC going far lower, and taking far longer to get there than the consensus is underwriting
@sometrader78 Agreed. Crypto Twitter and YT is now awash with "money rotates out of AI and into crypto when the AI bubble pops". Like that makes ANY sort of sense.
The BTC that people start puking at $25k? I'll be the one stepping in and buying
@sometrader78 just wait til they realise that in Feb, BTC broke a trend line going back 102 months vs QQQ. And yet they'll still tell you "BtC BoTtOmS iN OcT"
@IOHK_Charles@SamSamm90113677 "There is fundamental value" - surely that is question for the market to decide. IMHO, this is what Cardano has gotten so wrong over the years: presupposing "fundamental value", the market disagreeing, and then bitching at the market for being "against you"
