We are beginning to work on poetry. Using William Wordsworth's "I wandered lonely as a cloud" as inspiration, students analyzed and then created their own version! Here is one amazing example.

In our small group meetings today, we used shared slides to create Pink Shirts with messages of anti-bullying awareness. My favourite part was when students began using the "Comment" feature in Slides to leave positive messages about other students' work. Kindness in action!

Love that students are independently deciding to check their work using the virtual math manipulatives introduced to them at the beginning of our fractions unit!

Grade 5 Hub class began reading this book during our small group meetings. The themes of empathy and friendship are excellent for learning and discussing how we can show kindness to ourselves and others. Today we spent time on this page, and reflected on adjective we hope to be.

Enjoyed watching the landing of Perseverance on Mars with students today! Grade 5's showed great curiousity, knowledge, and engagement with the exciting endeavour!

We had a ques-cussion during our whole group meeting for the Grade 5 Hub class! Insightful questions about "Story" were shared. Really impressed with how well students use collaborative documents, they are a great tool!

Decorating doors at @EdgemontCBE! Room 12 decided to make our door into a cozy fireplace, adding our favourite books on the shelves. Some book covers are drawn on mugs of hot chocolate to make it extra cozy! Warm up with a good book!

Gr3 Art: "The Colours of Edgemont" Ms.R's & Ms. D's class began their weaving projects today! Students used their colour study work, and a chosen photograph from the natural spaces of Edgemont, to choose each colour of yarn for their weaving. #EdgemontStrong @EdgemontCBE
