Gr4 Fine Arts: Students completed the skit writing & construction of their shadow puppets last week. Students performed their skit for their class using an overhead projector. Some very interesting historical characters in the stories about how certain AB places got their name!

Gr1 Fine Arts: Students have been working on their "13 Moons" Seasonal Calendar. Each little moon of the 13 has a drawing to represent and indigenous legend. Look for the completion of these works next week!

Kindergarten Fine Arts: Students used pencil and watercolour pencils to draw and colour an amaryllis. Kindergarten students are monitoring the growth and details of a live amaryllis in their class!

Gr1 Fine Art: Students continued to work on their "13 Moons" drawings. We have been focusing on the 5 winter moons, from an Indigenous perspective, & will continue creating a drawing for each of the 13 moons of the year for our "Season & Moon Clock" #EdgemontStrong @EdgemontCBE

Gr2 Fine Art: Students watched an animated film about an Inuit legend: how Raven got painted black. Students drew a cartoon scene & created a caption for their drawing. The drawing was detailed with black ink & black paint. https://t.co/JTaaqirrPB #EdgemontStrong @EdgemontCBE

Gr5 Fine Art: Students painted squirrels in a snowy landscape as a practice piece. Students did very quick sketch and then used acrylic paint to complete the scene. #EdgemontStrong @EdgemontCBE
