@FriendsHighTown@GreenFlagAward@lutoncouncil This is awesome! Thank you to @lutoncouncil Parks and Countryside Service for the hard work they're putting in. And to the volunteers who help maintain the orchard and pick litter. Aha - the next litter pick in People's Park is Saturday 5 August. Meet 10am at the... Green Flag!
We'd love it if you could vote for Edible High Town in the CPRE Bedfordshire Living Countryside Choice Award. It takes 30 seconds and you can do it here: https://t.co/jApNRfnCeC
Look at the window boxes we planted up for the NOAH Enterprise shop last week. Noah had a little budget, and hanks to the wonderful people from Bridge Valley Nursery the money stretched so much further! Look up next time you walk past. They should keep growing all summer. ☀️☀️☀️
Did you buy red geum plants at our charity plant sale last year? They've sprung into bloom in people's gardens all over Luton! I had kept 2 for myself, and one of them turned out yellow 🤔. I guess that's Mendel's laws of inheritance for you. Send us your pictures!
Our next foraging walk is coming up on Saturday 24 June. Join experienced forager Jane Simmons for a guided afternoon walk through People's Park, followed by a mini taster session. Tickets at: https://t.co/KoHZRzOdBk
It’s planting time at Albion Court garden today. Ready to go in: tomato 🍅 Stupice, Urbikany, Sweet Million and Tigerella. Marigolds for companion planting. We’ll be there from 11am. Come by and you may get some free rocket leaves! #communitygarden#Luton
Friday 2 June: Open House Coffee Morning at the Methodist Church on High Town Road. We‘ll be creating window boxes for the Noah shop that morning. And we’ll have a little stall with plants. Come and say hello 👋 🌺🌸🌹🌻💐
I know strictly speaking, Luton isn't in Bedfordshire. But do you drive 🚗 (and I guess cycle 🚲 or walk🚶) in Bedfordshire at least once in 3 months? Then this survey is for you: https://t.co/hF4VYnVSqU Closes on 11 June 2023
Just discovered the @naturalengland Green Infrastructure data map. 🌎💚 Hours of fun plotting green spaces in Luton. Try for yourself: https://t.co/Zvkg423GCI
Join us this Saturday at our Albion Court garden for a cuppa and a chat. Bring your own mug, we'll have the drinks & treats. There'll be free forget-me-not plants and you can learn how to make newspaper plant pots. 10am to 1pm. Children welcome. https://t.co/Rf4skmje4q
Are you using theTesco in #Luton town centre? Help fund our community gardens 🌷🌻🌱 and vote for Edible High Town with your blue tokens. #everylittlehelps
CHANGE OF PLAN: We've rescheduled Saturday's Cuppa at the Garden to next week. It's just too cold and there's a good chance we'll have icy roads/pavements ❄️ 🛷. Sorry! Please join us now instead on Sat 18 March. Same time (10am to 1pm), same place (Albion Ct/Cross St)
First 2023 #foraging walk with wonderful @forager_the Jane. We braved the cold and learnt about how, when, what (and what not!) to forage. And Jane took our tastebuds on an adventure with spectacular flavours: alexanders pesto, hogweed spiced cakes, magnolia petals and more!
