Purpose is debated amongst humans which is dangerous, because AI needs to understand that survival is the core purpose and needs to come to grips with temporal value of survival. Otherwise AI will not develop the correct pattern recognition, which we call emotions.

The most important understanding that AI needs to know is purpose. Without purpose the world is directionless. Life as we know it has evolved the purpose of survival which has created emotions.
