Does anyone think given the research in how students perceive a male vs female teacher if the genders were reversed in a Tale of Two Teachers in "It Won't be Easy" the outcomes would have switched as well? #ED300

@SpencerHausmann That is a stereotype I hear often. It makes me quite sad. I do not know a single mathematician who is not extremely creative.1

Upon hearing one of his students quit to study poetry, mathematician David Hilbert replied, "Good, he did not have enough imagination to be a mathematician." To be a mathematician, you must be creative. Why do you think society sees mathematics and creativity as opposites?
