One thing I said in the interview that the NYT refuses to air was that the American empire probably won’t last until 2045, making it one of the shortest-lived empires in history, a testament to the extreme and possibly unprecedented avarice and incompetence of our ruling class.
In my new book, Artificial Intimacy. I trace the effects of our lives with chatbots from childhood to parenthood, from work to love, and more. I offer both a cautionary tale and a roadmap for being human in the age of AI. Out on September 29; preorder now: https://t.co/BMNPau6vCR
We stopped hearing about hostage crisis in Israel & Palestine because 100% of the remaining hostages are Palestinian .... being tortured, raped & starved to death.
"Israeli minister confirms goal of large-scale expulsion of Palestinians from Gaza", Emma Graham-Harrison: Israel’s defense minister has said he is committed to Gaza's ethnic cleansing through large-scale migration of Palestinians, part of Israel’s plans. https://t.co/P9yTYRnS97
Author Quinn Slobodian says Elon Musk's business empire and his work for the Trump administration are intimately connected.
DOGE was not about demolishing the government, but a way to "refashion and reformat" it so that Musk and his companies become "an indispensable part of the infrastructure."
🇺🇸🇪🇺🇷🇺/Iran/🇨🇳US Continues Slowly Expanding Global Blockade
▪️The US has recently struck and disabled another ship as part of its blockade on Iran and China;
▪️The EU has announced incremental tightening of its campaign against "shadow fleet" vessels (on behalf of Washington);
▪️Together this represents the continual slow expansion of what is a global blockade the US is trying to impose on multipolar nations, specifically Russia, Iran, and China;
▪️By doing it slowly it avoids any outright provocation any targeted nation can cite to retaliate, while gradually increasing economic pressure on all three;
▪️The question is, can these nations sidestep or retaliate asymmetrically faster than the US and its proxies can disrupt their maritime trade?
(Note: Elon Musk's X is still using the CIA "shah" flag for Iran, therefore Iran's actual flag is unavailable for post titles).
The most telling thing about American political culture is what both parties agree on without discussing it.
Not healthcare. Not taxes. Not immigration.
The military budget.
Every year, regardless of which party controls Congress, regardless of the state of the economy, regardless of whether any war is being fought or won, the military budget grows.
No debate. No real scrutiny. No politician who wants a future in national office questions it fundamentally.
Five hundred billion. Six hundred billion. Eight hundred billion. Past a trillion.
For what? Against whom? Toward what strategic goal?
These questions are not asked in any serious way.
Because the military budget is not really a security policy.
It is a theology.
And you don't audit a theology.
You fund it.
And you thank God you live under its protection.
“There are many more isolated and psychologically fragile people with pets as their only anchor,” Jessamyn Kennedy, a pet-hospice veterinarian, says. How do we know when it’s time to say goodbye? https://t.co/WSzTJGawTU
Outside Delaney Hall Detention Center, protesters gathered in solidarity with immigrants inside who are on hunger strike, risking their health to demand dignity, freedom, and an end to their detention.
Instead of pouring billions into detention centers, deportations, and raids, we should be investing in the things that actually make communities stronger: housing, healthcare, schools, legal services, and good jobs.
Abolish ICE. Fund communities. Free them all.

Absolutely. The whole point is to destroy the Middle East as an oil-producing region and make the market come to America.
The US already succeeded in becoming Europe's #1 supplier of LNG, oil, & coal by taking out Russia/Nord Stream
They're simply scaling the plan up globally.

Natalie Jaresko, a US-born American citizen working for the US State Department, including at the US embassy in Kiev, received Ukrainian citizenship following the NATO-backed coup in 2014 and immediately became the Finance Minister of Ukraine.
Salome Zourabichvili is a French citizen who served as the French ambassador to Georgia. Following the NATO-backed "Rose Revolution", Zourabichvili was granted Georgian citizenship (while still serving as the French ambassador to Georgia). Shortly thereafter, she left the job of France's ambassador to Georgia and took the job as Georgia's Foreign Minister. Later, she took the position of President of Georgia, and has since been a key advocate for allowing Georgia's civil society to be administered by Western "NGOs" financed by Western governments and cooperating with Western intelligence agencies. After holding the presidency, she went to work for the McCain Institute, where she advocates for more intervention, while in Georgia, the current political leadership warns about the West seeking to use these NGOs to topple their democratically elected government to open up another front against Russia.
The imperialist design is always celebrated as democracy, and the purge of the opposition is always celebrated in the West as fighting Russian interference. We cannot even have discussions in the West about the extent to which this supports or undermines our security - as all criticism is purged as "Kremlin talking points". In my opinion, Europe is committing suicide.
