@RepGregMurphy@GmOrr9000 Heck… if you had actually paid for my medical education then we could have a conversation. But the hundreds of thousands of debt is on my head unless I die first, even after so many years in practice. So, shut up. Seriously.
@SouthwestAir can a gate attendant threaten to not board a plane until people volunteer to check bags? Blame any possible delays because not enough people have volunteered to check bags? Curious. #ORD#southwest
@SouthwestAir Thx. It was a full flight so there was a possibility of not enough overhead space. The gate attendant was bullying the waiting passengers to “volunteer” to check their bags by threatening not to let us board the plane & saying it would be our fault if the plane arrived late.
What it’s like to be in healthcare right now:
“We will pay you $2 for that pie”
“But it costs me $4 in pie ingredients and $2 in human labor to make a pie. We need $6 to break even”
“Sorry, we’ll only pay you $2 for that pie. We suggest you make many more pies that you also sell for $2/pie. New requirement is 6 pies/day”
“But then we are still losing $4 per pie. How does making more pies help us?”
“We just found out flour is on shortage so you’ll have to buy more expensive imported flour and will lose $5 per pie. Or you can consider making pies without flour.”
“But I can’t make pies if we keep losing money on pies. And I can’t make pies without flour”
“We suggest you ditch rolling pins and remove any fruit filling as a cost saving measure. And consider limiting how much time you bake the pie for to use less oven time”
“But then how can I even make a pie that resembles a pie?”
“We appreciate the question and have no response. We empower YOU to solve this problem. We have scheduled 4 meetings to discuss how you can make more pies with less ingredients and less oven time and less labor”
“But it seems the root of the problem here is actually that we don’t get reimbursed fairly for our pies…”
“Don’t say that out loud. Please get back to making pies with no filling and no flour and no rolling pins and be sure to attend the meetings.”

One of the hostages rescued on Saturday has revealed he was held alongside fellow hostage Guy Gilboa-Dalal, 22, a few months ago.
According to the rescued hostage, Guy was in good physical condition but was severely physically and mentally abused by Hamas captors. He and the other hostages were not given enough food or water.
I am praying for Guy's speedy release alongside all the remaining 120 hostages 🙏
Humanitarian aid summary, June 13:
🚛220 aid trucks entered Gaza today. 190 entered through the Kerem Shalom Crossing; 30 trucks entered through the Erez West crossing.
Only 70 trucks were collected by the @UN aid agencies throughout the day. The content of 1,000 aid trucks is still waiting to be collected from the Gazan side of Kerem Shalom.
@British_Airways trying to submit case - paid extra in April to select seats and checking in today they were changed - site has a “problem” submitting my case but I want my seat selection $$ back. Incredulous.
I had lunch a few weeks ago with a friend who grew up in Israel. And I remember thinking to myself, “Wow. She is aggressively dismissive of public opinion.”
But after the last 72 hours and seeing a heroic rescue of hostages turned into yet another round of, “Hamas are justified in committing any and all war crimes?” The monster holding a woman captive and treating her as a slave for months is being transformed into the Real Victim™, not by strangers, but people I know and respect.
Now, I really understand why she ended up that way.
No matter what Israel does. It is going to be twisted into a narrative that makes them look bad. It is Orwellian and sick and just weird.
@streetwize They've broken every ceasefire they've had with Israel. There was one in place on Oct 6th. Their rockets haven't stopped and Sinwar et al do not want a lasting peace. They want a chance to rearm and the destruction of Israel and Jewish people. Not really negotiable.
“I decided, being Jewish, I better go straight in. I didn't want to look like a coward…”
Harold “Hal” Baumgarten, a D-Day veteran whose recollections inspired the opening scenes of Saving Private Ryan, recalls saying the Shema out loud while storming Omaha Beach.
86-year-old Shlomo Mansour is a survivor of the 1941 Farhud in Iraq. On Oct 7, he was kidnapped by Hamas terrorists who broke into his Kibbutz Kissufim home, where he managed the chicken coop. It's been nearly 8 months. Shlomo is still being held hostage in Gaza. #BringShlomoHome
The facts about the Israeli airstrike in Rafah and the fire that followed are starting to become clear, and they totally change the story:
◾️ The Israeli airstrike that targeted senior Hamas commanders in Rafah was more than a mile away from the safe zone for Palestinian civilians and more than 550 feet away from shelters Hamas had falsely claimed were targeted in the incident
◾️ The munitions used were the smallest possible: two warheads of 37 lbs each, far smaller than what other Western militaries use in comparable situations
◾️ The munitions could not themselves have ignited a fire of the size that resulted in the deaths of Palestinian civilians, indicating that Hamas weapons stored in or near the targeted structure—of which the IDF was unaware—may have exploded and caused the fire
◾️ Footage of the scene taken by Palestinians and uploaded to social media platforms appears to show secondary explosions, further indicating the presence of weapons in the area
◾️ A phone call within Gaza intercepted by Israeli intelligence contained the admission that the structure targeted by the airstrike served as an ammunition warehouse, that secondary explosions took place, and that the Israeli airstrike wasn't powerful enough to have ignited the fire
◾️ Hamas has been operating from the area since October 7; a rocket launcher used to fire rockets into Israel was located 150 feet from the targeted structure, suggesting that additional weapons were likely stored nearby and may have caused the fire
While none of this makes the heartbreaking results of the fire any less dreadful, it does call into question a lot of the reporting surrounding this tragic incident, which appears to have been based on false information put out by Hamas, rather than the facts on the ground.
