Anyone who thinks curriculum is more important than culture is fooling themselves. Environment has far reaching consequences that mostly hide in the background. Create a judgement free atmosphere that promotes positivity, ownership & most importantly fun. Your kids will thrive!
How you treat people says everything there is to say about you. It doesn’t matter how smart, accomplished, wealthy or cool you think you are. Strength of character is beyond any measure. Being a good person with a kind heart is what matters most & will benefit you for a lifetime!
Kids have to learn to dig deep, struggle & fight their way out of adversity. You can pay to put them on every kind of competitive team, get them a trainer/equipment/extra practice, but if they can’t claw their way past troubles that WILL come, they’ll never develop as athletes!
BAD PLAYERS don’t take much seriously.
AVERAGE PLAYERS take games seriously.
GOOD PLAYERS take practice & games seriously.
GREAT PLAYERS take academics, nutrition, warm-ups, ind. work, weight room, conditioning, film, practice & games seriously.

Don't just teach your children how to be successful, teach them how to respond when they are not successful, teach them how to handle failures and learn from their mistakes.

It’s so hard to appreciate the people who push you the hardest. Later, you realize the huge impact they made in your life. When coaches/teachers/parents hold you to high standards, it’s because they love you & know your capabilities. Let that translate into reaching your dreams!
Hubie Brown was a Five Star legend. Great lecturer and teacher of the game. He ended one of his lectures with this statement, “Saying Thank You to someone for their help costs nothing but it is the only way to pay for something priceless.” Great line. Remember to Thank people.
Please don't remove students from physical education, music, Arts, or other classes to remediate them in other areas. These classes are just as important for overall education and may be their favorite classes and one of the reason they actually enjoy school.
Champions aren’t champions because they just do more on their own. It’s because they were willing to accept coaching, instruction & support to be their BEST. Nobody gets to the top alone.

The weight room does a lot more than just build your body. It builds strong character & mental toughness. It strengthens weaknesses & reveals assertiveness. It shows who has drive & who fakes it. Through grit, it reveals who’ll quit & who won’t. Ultimately, it creates leaders!
