Hi! Using @getfocusable to write this week's #Optimalist newsletter. I'm crunched for time with several writing projects going, and I need to make sure I don't sacrifice my attention on this.
Ready, set, breathe.
Who else is in progression today?
@Scandela9@coachthomastech This is so true. And it's kinda the first time I've thought about it that way. It is a weird taboo topic and I have no idea why. Glad you guys are doing this work to hopefully make it less of a stigma.
@TeriRubinoff @SturmDon @getfocusable I think if they could see connections to all aspects of life, it would really open their eyes to the importance of working on this skill.
@coachthomastech I agree - everyone is a little different! And I think it's important for the kids to know. That's why I like that the @getfocusable app offers a few different options as far as brain breaks go!
I teach students to set small, attainable goals when focusing on a task. If there isn't a goal to work towards, I find that all learners struggle. #optimalist
A1: I think students need to know how their brains work. Having honest conversations about moving from order to disorder and taking breaks, for example, is key! #optimalist
