Tier List of States based on how weird they are politically: thoughts?

Republican won areas in 2024 (left) gained 13 million total voters from 2016, while Democrat areas (right) only gained 6 million voters.

This is a shift map of the US by Total Votes from 2016 -2024 President on Tabula America Suffragium. Although almost every area gained votes, places in Florida and Texas saw HUGE vote increases, mostly at the expense of the Midwest and Northeast.

100K Districts that the majority of people that currently live there were born in-state look pretty interesting. They make up about 2/3rds of all districts, and all together voted for Trump in 2024 by 7.8%. Notably missing? Most of Florida, Arizona, Nevada, and major metros.

A potential reason why Dems faltered in 2024? Black turnout. From 20-24, turnout in majority Black 100K districts went down by about 5%, compared White areas basically staying the same.

Here is my first forecast for this year's state legislative elections in Massachusetts!

Not a ton going on here outside of a few truly competitive districts. In fact, out of 200 districts between the House & Senate, only 44(!) are contested!
