I dig Christopher Nolan's film with Matt Damon as Odysseus, but I heard that there was an attempt by Francis Lawrence to make his own version a decade ago with Hugh Jackman.

Fantastic Western with the Civil War as the backdrop. Ang Lee knocked this one out of the park and it's a shame that the distributors botched the release in 1999. I'm glad that it's getting it's just due these days. And yes, there should be more Civil AND Revolutionary War epics.

I actually like the sometimes maligned Jurassic Park 3, but it still pisses me off that it had Alan Grant childless & Ellie married to another guy. Talk about missing the point of this shot, which is the purest "Okay, I'm ready to be a parent now" moment in cinematic history.
