Fiber is a carbohydrate
You cannot get fiber without eating carbohydrates.
There’s nothing like “cut carbs but eat fiber” .
Fiber is the 3rd structure or type of carb after sugar and starch. Carbohydrates aren’t your enemy.
Bread is not your enemy
Rice is not your enemy
Spaghetti is not your enemy
Eba is not your enemy
Your enemy is large portions, lack of physical activity, lack of health check, anger, lack of rest , constant junk food.
Eat your carbs but eat sensibly.
be scared and do it anyway. be underqualified and get in the room anyway. be unsure and show up anyway. comfort is the enemy of growth. get uncomfortable.
someone told me yesterday that when they feel nervous about trying something new & their heart starts beating really fast, that they call it their “inner applause” because their body is cheering them on, and i think that’s the best narrative adjustment ever.
In anything you do in life, don't get used to crumbs. Make no mistake, they’ll times we may be forced to accept crumbs to move ahead, but make sure you are aware it is crumbs, and you deserve better. And if you accept crumbs for so long, you may start seeing it as normal.
The baby is only part of the birth. There's another birth that almost nobody talks about. The PLACENTA. For 9 months, your body grows an entirely new organ, an organ with one job keeping your baby alive. It delivers oxygen, nutrients, hormones, filters waste and connects two completely different circulatory systems without ever mixing your blood. Then, minutes after your baby is born that organ detaches from the wall of your uterus, and when it does, it leaves behind a wound roughly the size of a dinner plate. About 10 cm across, that is why you bleed after birth, because your body is healing a wound. At the same time, your uterus, which stretched enough to hold an entire baby, is working around the clock to shrink back down to its pre pregnancy size. Those after pains you're feeling those contractions, they are your uterus, squeezing itself smaller while compressing hundreds of open blood vessels to stop the bleeding. Now imagine this. If you had a wound that size anywhere else, on your body, on your arm, on your leg, your back, would anyone expect you to be back at work in a week? Would anyone expect you you to entertain visitors? Cook meals, carry a baby day and night smile for photos and get your body back, of course not. You'd probably be in the hospital on a drip. People would tell you to rest up. They'd expect weeks of recovery, yet when that exact wound is hidden inside your body, the world acts as though you should be back to normal almost immediately. 6 weeks later, you go for your postpartum, check up. Many women think it's a milestone that says, wow, you've recovered. It isn't. It's simply checking whether the bleeding has stopped, whether the placental wound has healed and whether your uterus is recovering as expected. It is not a certificate that says your body, brain, hormones, identity or even nervous system have all returned to normal. So if you've ever been wondering, why haven't I bounced back yet? Here's the better question why were you ever expected to bounce back from something this enormous in the first place? Your body is recovering from one of the most extraordinary healing processes a human being can experience. Give yourself some time and space to recover.
the best thing you can do for yourself is actively increase your surface area for luck to hit you. go outside, try new cafes, museums, events, take a new route home, speak to people, ask questions, side quest. the more you do, the more serendipity and synchronicity will find you.
The wait is over.
We have 2 golds: Chimdiebube Onwubiko and Don Anele Munachimso.
We are the best in the world!
Egejurum Onyedikachi’s name was omitted. He should have a gold.
There is a false tribal narrative being circulated claiming that we dropped a Yoruba child to replace him with an Igbo child for the International STEM Olympiad in Rome.
That claim is completely false.
This is the full live stream of the 2026 South East Maths Olympiad Grand Finale, where the winners emerged. Our selection process was conducted publicly because we believe transparency is the best way to protect integrity.
We deliberately stream our competitions live so everyone can see how winners are determined. Our goal is simple: ensure that the right children win based on merit, not ethnicity, religion, connections or influence.
We are building a generation that believes hard work is rewarded. Merit is not negotiable.

Nigeria's children deserve better than tribal propaganda. They deserve fairness.
One day gents you must understand that women are reciprocators, not initiators. They step AFTER y’all step. You lead, they FOLLOW. Idk how else to explain this but it’s really SO simple.
🤦🏽♂️
Your daughter just got her first period.
Do not tell her she is a woman now.
Tell her what estrogen does.
Tell her what progesterone does.
Tell her her cycle has four phases and each one will feel different.
Give her information. Not a new identity.
As someone that has followed Alex and his initiative since July, 2025 I have a few things to say.
1. There's a mix up. Alex asked if he should start a Maths Olympiad in SE and he was supported. He obviously couldn't do it alone and setup a GoFundMe link which a lot of people contributed. He wanted the reward money to be big—5 million naira so it'll be more fun.
2. When he started, he said his focus will solely be for SE, even though some asked for Some parts of Rivers and Delta to join, but that period was the peak of tribalism so he declined.
3. He stated earlier that it's the winners of SE Maths Olympiad which he presides over that will represent Nigeria for STEM Olympiad in Rome.
4. When the winners emerged, he still wanted them to compete in other academic activities so they'll be used to competition, that is why the winners competed in the National Maths Olympiad which was organized of which one of the winners in SE, Onwubiko Ebube took second and the Yoruba boy took first.
If Nigeria wasn't delisted from Maths Olympiad in China, the Yoruba boy could have competed and represented Nigeria in that global space and he, Alex said that individuals can't fund it, it's solely government.
He went on with his plans for the SE Maths Olympiad winners, because he has been preparing them from Day 1.
He didn't drop any kid, Nigeria government failed that boy and a lot of others.
The funds in ISEE couldn't foot the STEM Olympiad in Rome and Alex solely funded this children's trip.
I'm just glad that he's getting enough publicity because next year will be bigger and better.
If you read to this point and you have a child in primary or secondary, please go to Alex page and get them ready for the Sterling Bank Maths Quiz.
They're giving out ₦500k biweekly to the winner. It's open to all Nigerian Students and first phase has come and gone.
Thank you.
Tunde Onakoya teaches chess only to the kids from the Southwest, and has taken them abroad. We were happy and celebrated him for doing a great job.
Alex Onyia is pushing for Science and Math Olympiad in the Southeast, and has taken those kids abroad. Alex is now the tribal bigot.
Hypocritical idiots.
