Apart from the hay fever, the constant sweat, the sunburn, the lack of sleep, the wasps, the bug bites, the baking hot car, the 3am sunrise, the non-stop disco from next door’s garden, the yellow lawn, the heat rash, the absence of air con and the complete lack of energy… I’m actually a big fan of Summer.
I guess the biggest problem with waking up on the sofa at 4:30 in the morning is trying to get back to sleep with the raucous from the birds outside… though I guess tweeting about it doesn’t exactly help either.
If I was worried about people comparing me to 1930s Germany, my next move probably wouldn't be to shut down all criticism on the national broadcasting service
