Planned Parenthood Action Fund has endorsed my opponent, Democratic Congressmember Adam Smith, who has voted for tens of billions of dollars for the genocide in Gaza and voted to ban United Nations food assistance to Gaza.

A recent Drop Site News investigation by Jacqueline Sweet exposed that the infamous doxxing & blacklist website functions through a network routing money through “a Long Island address tied to an interior design store” and that this helped reveal where its funding came from “and that it is run entirely out of Israel.”

TeleSur calla. Y su silencio grita.

TeleSur habla de logros. Crecimiento del PIB. Aumento de pensiones. Reducción de homicidios. Todo muy bonito. Todo muy presentable. Pero hay una imagen que ningún periodista de ese canal se atreve a comentar: Delcy Rodríguez reuniéndose con una delegación del ejército israelí. Sonrisas, apretones de manos, gestos de complicidad. Y TeleSur, mudo.

Eso no es periodismo. Eso es sumisión.

Lo que TeleSur fue

TeleSur nació con Chávez. Nació para ser la voz de los pueblos, la trinchera informativa de la Revolución Bolivariana, el altavoz de los que no aparecen en CNN ni en BBC. Nació para denunciar al imperio, para defender a Palestina, para gritar lo que otros callaban.

Chávez rompió relaciones con Israel en 2009. Lo llamó "Estado genocida". Lo dijo con todas las letras. Y TeleSur, en aquel entonces, era el megáfono de esa verdad. Denunciaba cada bomba en Gaza, cada asentamiento ilegal, cada niño palestino asesinado.

Eso era TeleSur. Un medio que no se arrodillaba. Un medio que no se vendía. Un medio que entendía que el periodismo revolucionario no es aplaudir al poder, sino fiscalizarlo. Que no es repetir consignas, sino buscar la verdad.

Lo que TeleSur es hoy

Hoy, Delcy Rodríguez se reúne con el ejército sionista. El mismo que bombardea hospitales. El mismo que dispara contra niños. El mismo que viola todas las resoluciones de la ONU. Y lo hace como quien se reúne con un viejo amigo. Sin una palabra de condena. Sin un gesto de distancia. Sin mencionar a Palestina.

Y TeleSur calla. No pregunta. No cuestiona. No denuncia. Se limita a aplaudir las cifras macroeconómicas y a repetir el discurso oficial como un loro amaestrado.

Eso no es un medio de comunicación. Es un boletín de prensa del nuevo régimen.

La traición de los periodistas

Lo más grave no es Delcy. Delcy ya sabemos lo que es. Lo más grave son los periodistas de TeleSur que aceptan esto. Que se prestan al juego. Que escriben sobre el crecimiento del PIB pero omiten la reunión con los asesinos de Gaza. Que hablan de la nueva era pero no mencionan a Cilia Flores presa. Que celebran la reducción de homicidios pero no recuerdan a los 32 cubanos caídos defendiendo la Revolución Bolivariana.

¿Dónde está el periodista que se planta y dice "esto no es lo que yo defendí"? ¿Dónde está el editor que se niega a publicar una mentira por omisión? ¿Dónde está el camarógrafo que apaga la cámara y se va?

Callados. Todos callados. Aceptando la sumisión. Cobrando un sueldo manchado de sangre.

Lo que yo sostengo

TeleSur abandonó el camino. Se plegó al golpe. Se vendió a la traición. Y hoy, cuando Delcy se reúne con el ejército sionista, ningún periodista de ese canal dice nada. Porque ya no son periodistas. Son empleados de una administración que traicionó a Chávez, a Maduro, a Palestina y a sí misma.

Las cifras económicas no limpian la deshonra. El crecimiento del PIB no justifica el silencio. Porque hay cosas que no se compran con dólares. La dignidad, por ejemplo. La memoria. La coherencia.

Y TeleSur, que un día fue digno, hoy es un ejemplo de todo lo contrario.

Vergüenza. Eso es lo que siento. Y no soy venezolano. Soy cubano. Pero la traición, cuando es tan grande, salpica a todos los que amamos la Revolución.

Patria o Muerte. Venceremos.
