Now this is what should be top of on our list… People incarcerated for the wrong reasons lose a chunk of their lives in prison and they come out taking it out on the society that stole their lives…. Nigerian Prison system is not a correction centre.
When I was in Kuje Prison, I met Haruna Garba Gololo, who was sent there by Senate President Godswill Akpabio. He had been granted bail for nearly three weeks but was still unable to meet the bail conditions.
He’s spent several weeks in prison before being granted bail.
I also met David Nwokorie, who was arrested and detained by the Nigeria Police Force following a messy breakup with Genevieve Opara, the daughter of retired Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Hilary Opara. Last week, when Justice Rita Ajumogobia of the Federal High Court granted David bail after he had spent close to four months in prison, he was required to present a Level 16 officer and a colonel in the Nigerian Army as sureties. these are almost impossible bail conditions.
Even the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, who is complaining of wrongful imprisonment of 93% of current inmates dragged a critic, Emorioloye Owolemi, before the Federal High Court sitting in Akure, Ondo State, over alleged cyberstalking, and the man languished in prison for months.
I was sent to prison by Tinubu.
There are 817 awaiting-trial inmates in Kuje out of a total prison population of 1,115, with 47 of them diagnosed with tuberculosis.
This young man is a product of a failed institution… Journalism should be objective and core of that noble profession is in service to humanity… @ruffydfire some of us can see through your hate and it has nothing to do with @OfficialAPCNg in Nigeria. You hate Nigeria!!!
12 midnight, July 18th, 2026. I left truck central in VI and decided to drive on the coastal road for fun till I got to Sangotedo. 14 minutes drive. I hope one day I can leave Victoria Island Lagos at 5pm and get to Calabar by 12 midnight.
If you can show me any road in Nigeria, with this quality, marked, with street lights at 12 midnight along the entire stretch since 1914 before or after amalgamation of Nigeria, I will throw my phone inside the Atlantic Ocean and campaig against President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
These men stole billions while working for "Mr Integrity". Now, imagine how much those who are working with a known criminal must have stolen in 8 years.
Politicians from Northern Nigeria would rank amongst the richest public servants in the world… All stolen wealth from public treasuries…. We are only accessing wealth stacked up here in Nigeria when they have access to different tax havens across the world….
When EFCC arrested Malami, some paid clowns were actually on this same timeline calling it an attack on the North
Someone stole billions of naira that could have changed millions of lives in your region, yet some of you were defending him and trying to paint his alleged looting spree as an attack on the North.
May God punish you all.
@gayya_elite@channelstv@BashirAhmaad@GarShehu They told us @GEJonathan was corrupt but @MBuhari is now proving to have presided over not just the worst economy with proven court verdicts convicting his men with an unprecedented level of corruption in his government… The worst of Nigeria was Buhari….
Pure drama and theatrics!!! Lagos as a coastal and atlantic city is yet to see flood!!! You need to empower your LGA’s to manage refuse disposal and enforcements, water ways coordination in their localities that then feeds into the large water bodies…Anything else is Nollywood
Today, I accompanied the Governor of Lagos State, Mr @jidesanwoolu , the Deputy Governor, Dr @drobafemihamzat , and other members of the State Executive Council on an inspection tour of communities impacted by the excessive rainfall recorded over the past few days in Eti-Osa and Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Areas.
The inspection commenced at Ogombo, where stormwater from the surrounding communities discharges into the Ikota River. We subsequently visited Monastery Road Sangotedo, where our swamp buggy has been deployed carrying out extensive clearance operations, and Gbetu - Iwerekun Community behind Mayfair Gardens Estate. Plans are also underway to upgrade drainage infrastructure in the area to improve stormwater management and enhance flood resilience.
The team also inspected Chevron Drive, where a previously blocked drainage channel has now been reopened. This intervention is expected to significantly improve stormwater discharge and alleviate flooding in Ajiran, Osapa London, Orchid, VGC, and adjoining communities.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to implementing sustainable flood mitigation measures across the State. He assured Lagosians that the Government will continue to intensify efforts to address the challenges posed by heavy rainfall through strategic drainage improvements, canal maintenance, and critical infrastructure upgrades.
We see coastal cities across the world and water ways are always clear… Keeping them clear to flow into big water bodies is always the work of the local government and communities… You can’t govern water ways and waste management systems through the state. Empower your LGA.
LAGOS FLOOD UPDATE !!!!
Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Deputy Governor, Dr Kadiri Obafemi Hamzat and other Senior State and Local Government officials today visited different areas in Eti Osa and Ibeju Lekki Local Government Areas where all the overflow from the heavy rainfall goes through to the Lagoon and other channels.
Mr Governor started the journey from Ogombo area, where all the water flows into the Ikota River.
He visited the Monastery Road, Sangotedo.
Mr Governor also visited the Gbetu, Iwerekun Community at the back of Mayfair Garden Estate, where work is already ongoing but other upgraded infrastructure is needed.
Finally Mr Governor visited the Chevron axis where a channel that was blocked is now open to resolve flood issues around Ajiran, Osapa London, Orchid, VGC and other areas.
Mr Governor spoke to the pressmen and assured Lagosians that more will continue to be done to mitigate issues surrounding the natural heavy rainfall and other canal/drainage issues across the State.

One thing is clear here and they all acknowledge it despite having opposing views. At the end of the “We are all humans” She reached out privately not for political gains, no press and camera during those moments…. That’s what politics should be like…
When civilised people sharply disagree on political issues their "humanity" still shines through with empathy.
To some its all about hatred. Hatred blinds and always fails.
Very shocking to see that one man can amass this wealth under one govt let alone under the so called @MBuhari “MR INTEGRITY “ The North has the poorest in Nigeria yet politicians from this part of the country live in untouchable wealth. The heart of men is just evil!!!
@officialEFCC Malami was Nigeria's Attorney General. Chief law officer. He built a university, a radio station, and multiple hotels. A federal high court just ordered final forfeiture of 48 properties worth N212 billion. The man paid to uphold the law was busy breaking it.
@htr_akhan@Blonddieee_ Viserys or whatever is name is called is a weakling…. As a King your presence alone is power. Alicent came for a purpose that he couldn’t see through him created a problem for his entire lineage… A weak man is a curse as the story shows us all!!
I’ve said it: the moment this madness gets to the southwestern states in Nigeria is the point the perpetrators & sponsors walk naked and they’re unmasked…. We need to ask pertinent questions on why Teachers can no longer go to school to teach in rural areas because of terrorists
🤣🤣🤣clown;
Not that you, the state gov should improve on the security of the state to avoid further occurrence but na to investigate the abduction
What’s the saying about making a clown king again?!
Do your kids speak or understand your mother tongue? Yoruba, Ibo, Edo, Hausa, Urhobo etc.
.
Or is it that it's not important ni? Am I making a mountain out of a mole hill? Perhaps...

@davidoluwa20942@BAM_2027 Political grandstanding and chess games… He knows what he is doing. He invited all the political rascals that destroyed Nigeria to his state for politics and then started all this drama. He is not a saint!!! We’ve seen this script before
We fight because every investment, every new job, every business that chooses Alberta means a parent can provide a little more for their family, a young person can build a career close to home, and a community can grow stronger.
That’s the Alberta Advantage. And it’s back!

@olatunbosun8898@thecableng@BabatundeofX Lots of people died during the operation: Amotekun, local hunters that chased them immediately, military officers but all that was important to Seyi Makinde, Was Peter Obi and Atiku was just politics… The President is not a saint but thank God. Nigeria won at this time!!
Once they all start making money from their local resources… excuses of marginalization will no longer be valid, illegal miners using terror as a cover can also be brought to books then local economies can develop… Way to go
@AIT_Online From Nasarawa state now to Zamfara state. This is good for the states economy and by extension, Nigeria. Minister for mineral resources and mining needs to be acknowledged at thus junction. He has brought expansion to our minerals extraction. Mr Dele Alake well done sir
