I bet £1 million that if you gave Trump an hour's tuition on the subject he still wouldn't know the difference between the United Kingdom, Britain and England.
@CarpeZytha Pint of Marzen to kick off @langtonbrewery Oktoberfest. Bit too early to start on the Steins. Must not, repeat must not have Steins of Partizans Barley Wine.
Quick reminder.
During World War II, the @RNLI routinely launched into hazardous waters to rescue downed German 🇩🇪 pilots, strictly upholding their mission to save any life at sea regardless of nation or cause.
Between 1939 and 1945, RNLI volunteer crews saved over 6,300 lives, including hundreds of enemy airmen and sailors.
Humanity always came first 🌊⚓
@itsme_urstruly As a post lady I delivered mail to a (Roman) site before a Gym was built. Mum's a volunteer archaeologist & I'm avid myself. I casually asked the students where I delivered the post to & if they'd found anything Roman. PIC suddenly appeared & wanted to know why I was asking. 🙄
@ShitChester We laughed our socks off at this Very wrong image! B4 we realised that AI Slop is becoming more normalised in society. On another note here in Oxford the "Tat" Shops sell amongst other things London based merchandise at hugely inflated prices. The T's do not sell for 2 for £20...
Nobody wants a city on Mars. Nobody wants AI in every app. Nobody wants data centers in space. Nobody wants humanoid robots or flying cars.
We want clean water. We want a stable climate. We want a habitable planet. We want wildlife to survive. We want to live.
I grew a goatee on holiday from my care manager job. When I came back, my boss took one look and said, "I wouldn't." She was right. A week later I shaved it off after several clients I assessed became convinced I was Satan himself, come for them.
Tenacious C in can!! A rebrew of our Vanilla Stout with Chris Bingham. Rich chocolate aroma from the malts alongside smooth vanilla from real Madagascan pods. This is not the greatest beer in the world, no, it’s just a really great tribute.
Well, that didn’t last long… 💧😂
Yesterday: talk of “surge pricing” for water during droughts.
Today: Government tells @LBC water companies will be BLOCKED from hiking bills during droughts.
Good. Absolutely the right decision.
Consumers already pay more while being told to use less, charging them a drought premium would have been taking the proverbial.
Now, about those leaks… 👀
@adrianpgibson I think the whole country should be posting water leaks to shame the water companies. Someone needs to create an X account with a funny name and we all will post our videos and location of water leaks and how long it takes water companies to fix them !
💧 The UK isn’t running out of water. We’re running out of excuses for failing to protect it.
Households are being told to use less water while water companies leak nearly 3 BILLION litres every day. Meanwhile, businesses hold licences allowing them to abstract trillions of litres from our rivers, lakes and aquifers.
And while Thames Water teeters under nearly £20bn of debt, it somehow found £1m for its new finance chief’s signing-on payment. You couldn’t make it up.
👉🗞️ Writing in today’s Daily Express, our Head of Campaigns Amy Fairman lays bare why drought, leaking pipes, sewage, over-abstraction and agricultural pollution aren’t separate crises - they’re symptoms of the same broken system.

@BBCNews Saw similar at Travelodge in Bicester a couple of years ago. First we were given a key to a room with someone else's belongings in it, reception said oops here's a key to a different room, which was ok until 2am when someone who'd also been given a key to same room arrived.
Burst water main - Burford, Cotswolds
Thames Water leaking 570M litres a day, would like you to cut down on your waste so it can keep your cash flowing to creditors and bosses and the rest of the privatised gravy train.
Please do cut down, but help us get rid of the parasites feeding on our water industry.
