Just trying to read a romance to keep my mind off things, but this author keeps using a self-insert writer character to rant about her own reader reviews. It's so basic and obnoxious and takes you right out of the story.

Palestine, specifically Gaza has been actively bombed for the past 20 days.

Innocent children, civilians, and entire family generations have been killed. Residential buildings, churches, hospitals & mosques have been bombed. 7000+ people are dead, 18,000+ are injured and millions of people are left without access to clean water, food, electricity, fuel & medical equipment. Today they cut off all possible network and cell coverage to Gaza so the entire world doesn’t get to know how brutal the war crimes that are actively being committed there.
