Dva brata čiji su posmrtni ostaci ekshumirani iz masovnih grobnica, biće danas ukopani. Zajedno, pored trećeg brata. Da je čovjek živio izolovan od svijeta zadnjih decenija, ovo bi bilo dovoljno da mu razori dušu.

Preko 50 ljudi do danas je osuđeno za individualnu i komandnu odgovornost za planiranje i učešće u izvršenju genocida u Srebrenici, kao i nastojanje da se zločin prikrije prekopavanjem masovnih grobnica. To je činjenica!

Činjenica je i da je 11. juli odlukom Generalne skupštine UN-a proglašen Danom sjećanja na genocid u Srebrenici.

Ne postoji kampanja, propaganda, izjava, ekstremista niti radikal koji će ove činjenice ikada opovrgnuti. Na svakog negatora genocida ima nas hiljade svjesnih i savjesnih koji čuvamo sjećanje na genocid.

Tačno je da se trebamo okrenuti budućnosti, ali isključivo temeljenoj na istini i suočavanju s prošlošću. To je ljudska odgovornost prema svakoj žrtvi, svakoj od brojnih žena koje grle nišane umjesto sinova, braće, muževa i očeva. To je ljudska odgovornost prema tri brata čija imena su ispisana u nepreglednom broju nišana.

Ove bez ljudskosti koji će i na današnji dan negiranjem kopati po tuđim ranama, svijet će pamtiti samo tako - kao negatore genocida i neljude za koje nema mjesta u civilizovanom društvu. A genocid i njegove žrtve svijet će pamtiti njegujući istinu i pomen, u školama, institucijama i medijima.

Prihvatanje i suočavanje liječi. Ne vraća ljudskost, ali liječi.
