Earlier this month, San Bernardino County Fire crews from Fire Station 53 in Baker, responded to an injured motorcyclist in the Death Valley National Park. The southern end of the park lies within San Bernardino County. Crews utilized their all-terrain response vehicle to access the patient in the remote and rugged terrain. Personnel worked alongside @CHP_Barstow , @NatlParkService, and @SBCSDAviation.
The patient received prompt care on scene and was in good hands throughout the incident. He was subsequently airlifted to a nearby trauma center with a lower leg injury.
This coordinated multi-agency response highlights the importance of teamwork, as well as specialized equipment, in remote and challenging environments to ensure rapid patient care and safe transport.
