「ハラール給食を出さないのは差別だ」
「無料給食でも宗教に合わなければ意味がない」。

現地のアメリカ人からは猛反発が起きた。
「納税者の金で特定の宗教に過剰配慮するな」

しかし結果はどうなったか。
サンディエゴ統一学区は要求を順次受け入れ、ハラール認証給食を提供する対象校を急速に拡大。

最初は「特別対応」だったものが、今や「多文化共生」の名の下に完全に定着・一般化している。

一度特別措置を勝ち取ると要求は止まらない。
祈祷室の設置、宗教行事へのさらなる配慮……と年々エスカレート。
一歩譲れば、それが次の「当たり前」へと変わっていく。

「郷に入っては郷に従え」という同化の原則を捨て、過剰な配慮を重ね続けた結果、
公立学校の現場では現地のキリスト教文化や秩序が徐々に塗り替えられ、イスラム教（シャリア）の規範が優先され始めている。

8年前のあの警告は、まさに今直面している状況の「予兆」そのものだった。
