@thetrainline hello - we had an open return from London Euston - Stockport - we got the train home yesterday which took many hours due to cancellations and delays, we then couldn’t get on many trains due to over crowding - can we get this ticket refunded?

Hello, was on the 17:04 MCR- Leeds but forced to get off in Rochdale due to an incident, after waiting a long time I got a taxi home to Todmorden, as no other transport was provided, can I claim in this? I had to get home to family.
I'm a carer for my mum, who has dementia. This morning i overheard her talking to my dogs. One of them jumped on her lap & she sang 'melancholy baby' to him, a lullaby she used to sing to me as a child. I've never cried so hard, yet so quietly.

Coverage this morn of the appalling Sarah Everard case misses the point, with emphasis on how rare abduction and murder is. The outcry it’s initiated is about women being in fear of harassment and assault while out after dark. And that, dismally, is not rare. The fear is endemic.
No refuge spaces in whole of Greater Manchester this morning, this is while Domestic abuse is at a peak. This is a crisis.. or a continued crisis nd women's lives are at risk everyday.
My second favourite benefit of wearing a facemask out and about (the first being potentially saving lives), is that not a single man can tell you 'SMILE' as you walk past them. 😷👍🏻
