@FrankieIsBanned I bought a pair in September after wanting a pair of full chaps for years and am unbelievably obsessed! Very much Michigan winter approved!
@CDNeventerr I have two of the shirts that I got on consignment for like $25 each and I love them for fall/early spring, but I would never have paid full price 😅 I’ve shown in them a handful of times and definitely forgot to do up the magnet collar more than once
@horsegrlenergy@esmquestrian Oh they hate it 😂 All of our lesson students that are able do at least a little no-stirrups every lesson year round, and we introduce it early on just at the walk to promote correct leg position (and practice picking up dropped stirrups for the littles!).
@horsegrlenergy@esmquestrian We do No Stick/Crop November instead for exactly this reason! They work hard for us and we’d like them to enjoy their jobs as much as possible!
@HorsesAreBetter His brother had it worse, but it took a couple weeks of daily care for them to finally start healing. Peel off the scabs as they form, they’re thick and filled with fluid and it’s disgusting but they need to come off. We isolated them from other horses and disinfected everything.
@dandeliontime89 We’ve been using one for our horse coming back from colic surgery, and it’s been great to get him to slowly build muscle back without overdoing it. We did start with it looser than recommended for him, but it makes his work level much more consistent no matter who’s riding him.
@TypicalHorseGrl They’re the only blankets I’ll buy for our school horses anymore because of the guarantee. Would much rather get a new blanket than deal with patching and fixing straps when they inevitably break. Plus I love that they fix and donate returned ones to rescues!
@Mares4Life We just had a school horse paw a section off her paddock’s hay hut and puncture herself with one of the screws she ripped off! No sign of lameness (only noticed when we went to pick her feet) and was sound as could be the next day 🙃
HORSE: 1,200 pounds of rippling muscle. Majestic gallop. Easily felled by a single sharp stick or a minor stomachache.
PONY: 500 pounds of fat, hair, and spite. Moves at the pace it damn well pleases. Hardened criminal. Impervious to all weapons known to man.
@alteventer We just updated to 48 hours (with the exception of injuries or extreme circumstances). Less than 48 hours is charged/taken out of their monthly package. Anything more than 48 hours they can reschedule and do a makeup lesson.
