@arthriticeq Our vet’s post injection protocol is always in for the rest of the day/night of the injections, out to normal turnout the following day, light work 3-4 days after that, and then after a week back to regular workload
Had to post an update on the baby TB, he did his first show last weekend and was a star and yesterday we rode with Boyd and he was super! So proud of him and how he’s progressing!
@plainanon That is a huge increase and 30 days is definitley not enough notice for that, but I think we’re about to be seeing this more and more, costs and expenses have just gone up so rapidly a normal $50-$100 increase isn’t cutting it for boarding barns anymore
@arthriticeq Yes! Way more than I ever expected it to. This was him the other day after he would not sweat at all before the daily beer. He won’t eat electrolytes either, but the rest of my horses eat Stress Dex when it’s got like this
@arthriticeq Ben has anhidrosis ever since he was diagnosed with Cushings. We give him one bottle of Guinness a day in 1/2lb of beet pulp from April until it gets cool again (usually October) and it helps a lot! Also hosing frequently and spraying with rubbing alcohol after
@e38simp Yep. Had someone call out on me at 7am when she was supposed to be here at 8 for like 3 out of 5 shifts. “Car trouble”. I asked if she could get a ride in from anybody, she said no, and then literally ghosted me and never showed up again 😂
@e38simp It is the worst when people do this. Like “I wasn’t feeling good last night and I woke up and it’s worse!” an hour before they’re supposed to be there. Like just call out the night before!!
The next time you say something like “we do all this work for a 50 cent ribbon” just know that I just dropped almost $800 on ribbons for my little schooling jumper series and they are not actually that cheap 😭
