As our leader, is the President advising us to ignore the courts too?
We can therefore ignore their rulings and authority! Let this happen and he will know what anarchy is.
@kipmurkomen Mwesh, you fired people, albeit amicably.
Nothing has changed.
Power has not been restored in Zambezi. Our generators are also not working........ because we don't have generators.
Can we fire more people (amicably) until the situation resolves itself?
I would like to cheer and say that @EACCKenya is making headway in the fight against graft, but noooo!
Everyday, we see traffic policemen stopping PSV vehicles to shake hands with the drivers. How do we live with these scenes as the norm? How do we explain this to our children?
ARREST OF THE OFFICER-IN-CHARGE OF ZIMMERMAN POLICE POST IN KASARANI DIVISION TO FACE GRAFT CHARGES
The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) on Thursday arrested the Officer-in-Charge of Zimmerman Police Post in Kasarani Division, Inspector of Police Susan Wambui Muiruri to face corruption charges.
The arrest came after the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) concurred with the recommendations of EACC to charge the Police Inspector with 2 counts of soliciting and receiving a bribe from the complainant in order to facilitate the release of his pregnant girlfriend who had been arrested and detained at Kasarani Police Station. The offence was committed on 25th April 2021.
After she was processed at Integrity Centre Police Station on Thursday, the suspect was released on cash bail and required to present herself at Milimani Anti-Corruption Court today, Friday, 28th July 2023, for plea taking.
The plea did not, however, proceed as scheduled as the Court granted an application by the suspect’s Advocate to defer the plea for 2 weeks. Counsel informed the Court that when the suspect left EACC on Thursday evening, she fell ill at night and was subsequently hospitalized hence unable to appear in Court.
The Court ordered that the matter proceeds on 9th August 2023 when the suspect will be charged with the offences.
EACC continues to urge all public officials to recognize that they hold their respective offices in trust for the people. As such, they should desist from corrupt practices including demanding, soliciting, receiving or accepting bribes.
Corruption, whether petty or grand, hurts the public and impedes national prosperity in many ways. It leads to high cost of living, breakdown of the rule of law, poor infrastructure (roads, water, hospitals), high levels of unemployment and delay or denial of justice.
Corruption undermines the realization of national development goals, increases poverty, and reduces the capacity of institutions to effectively render services. The vice also leads to impunity, increases crime rates, aggravates the effects of climate change, magnifies human rights violations and reduces investment due to high cost of doing business.

When will our own local Kenya be given opportunities to grow and run their own airlines yet they pay taxes and bailout KQ
@cobbo3 Someone sold Kenyans the narrative that planting weed would alleviate poverty in the Country. We have the best coffee and tea and yet we the farmers have not received their just rewards from planting these CASH crops. All we need to give a fair price to these farmers.
