Our new report on implementation in Africa finds that the biggest challenge is no longer obtaining human rights decisions — it is getting them implemented.
Key findings:
▪️ Monetary reparations are rarely paid
▪️ Victims are left to navigate implementation alone
▪️ Weak political will & coordination delay compliance
▪️ Public pressure matters
Human rights decisions only matter when they improve victims’ lives.

I've had a browse through the draft Zambia-U.S. Health MoU. It is a 5-year plan that says to be aimed at strengthening Zambia’s health system-covering HIV, TB, malaria, labs, supply chains, digital systems, and outbreak response. It has raised some applause and concern from various stakeholders. (Thread)
