@duos_with_dad@FNCreate The bummer for me is I've only had my XP work for one release, the rest of the time it's been on "final stage of pretending like you're gonna get XP some day". Since May... So yeah, pull it out, fine by me! :P
The Galactic News has done a report on our game!
If you're craving some Star Wars action, you can play for free right now in Fortnite!

@puckrin Honestly it's the best part. Reddit was horrible, but we were trapped for answers. I hope it happens to the other walled gardens and we get a decent social network and video platform soon.
@ShitpostRock By this point it was just all hand waving on their part and "whatever.... I can make it through this movie but I'll never call it Star Wars" on mine.
@kenziionyt I just discovered their "Link directly to an island to play" links don't even work. Tried in two different browsers with Fortnite running. I'm adapting...
Remember, you can fight for Freedom, or you can fight for Tyranny. You can support those who fight for Freedom, or you can support those who fight for Oppression, and unchecked Aggression.
You can be on the side of Good, or Evil.
I think one of the big problems with discovery is its inability to properly funnel players to maps built for them. Discovery will keep throwing mobile users at a game that's clearly best for PC and next gen console, then punish the map for the bounce rate.
It also makes advertising almost meaningless. Again, other platforms let you select who you're paying to advertise to, but Sponsored Row in Fortnite is just a pile. Just a hodge podge. "Thanks for the cash, here's a pile of unsorted, unoptimized players." Then it punishes again.
@Firewnl Wow... that seems like a rookie mistake, like you'd make when making your first game and balancing super far in one direction and pegging each thing to a single variable.
@Firewnl Treat spam and duplication as a first-class ranking problem, not just moderation. Behavioral fingerprints, content hashing of devices/layout/gameplay loops, progressive trust for accounts, and downranking of near-identical
@Firewnl Better cold-start and update handling. Creator reputation or sophistication as a prior for testing volume. Guaranteed re-test windows after meaningful updates. Seed high-potential islands with curated or similarity-based boosts instead of pure random small batches.
@Firewnl + longer-term signals. Roblox has been more explicit about shifting toward 7- and 28-day retention, intentional co-play, and play-through quality.
@Firewnl Metric horizon: Early bounce and short-window minutes are powerful (and necessary for testing), but if they dominate, the system favors instant hooks over experiences that build retention over days. YouTube learned this the hard way and layered satisfaction
