The saga in PA doesn't end -- Pennsylvania's second "measles-associated" infant death has a detail the initial press conference never mentioned: the child had Amish lethal microcephaly, a rare genetic disorder causing an extremely small head and an underdeveloped brain. Children with this condition typically survive only five to six months, and most die from respiratory infection of any kind, because their brains can't fight it off.

The coroner says measles was still a contributing factor in this case. The first "measles-associated" death, previously reported, was ruled a spleen rupture unrelated to measles.

Neither infant was old enough to have received the MMR vaccine under the CDC's own schedule.

@MidwesternDoc @DrJoelGator We've also found that DMSO is great for chigger and tick bites. Those can normally itch something fierce for many days, even a couple weeks, but the DMSO shortens that dramatically (for us anyway), sometimes to a couple of days.
