@Madisonkanna Produce more value than you cost. This can mean: guiding your team, developing domain expertise, learning constantly, being likeable, being the “go-to” person for a variety of challenges. Doesn’t work if they cut the whole team though.

The system doesn’t GAF about humans unless they’re making money or spending money. AI will simply accelerate that trend

Just like we’re seeing the massive tech layoffs (which is how employment redundancies are handled). Next time it won’t be educated white-collar SF folks, but people who have $50 left over every month

@AdamRackis @samijaber_ It’s not as hard as you might think. Is any given product growing or not? Is it a core part of the roadmap or not? At one of my jobs, I bailed after it became apparent my project was dying. Layoffs and outsourcing occurred a few months later.

@ismetkahraman @davidfowl Corporations are “value creation” machines at scale. There is no value in nicely handling layoffs. Hence why it’s cold as ice.
