. @volker_turk welcomes announcement that the United States and Iran have agreed on a peace deal.

At this fragile moment, it is clear all sides need to exercise maximum restraint and work to implement this agreement quickly and in good faith.

A Gift of Peace

Ten years on, Muhammad Ali still speaks—through a painting of the United Nations headquarters he once created.

Everyday, as I pass by it, I am reminded that peace is forged by those who refuse to accept violence as the final word.

A clean, healthy and sustainable environment is a human right.

Its effective implementation is a legal obligation that supports stronger action to address environmental crises, including climate change.

This World Environment Day, OHCHR and partners are highlighting human rights solutions through the RHRN Global Youth Climate Summit and inviting people everywhere to contribute their own ideas through the Sumaúma Pledging Tree for Human Rights-Based Climate Action.

Take action now for people and the planet.
