@basedbutuseful@TomCantonMedia They've played away at grounds we previously dropped points at & come away with only 3 points dropped. We're 4 points better than last season on the same fixtures. We just won away at a typically difficult ground for us & folks are moaning it wasn't pretty. The post is spot on.
@KondiwaC580@Arsenal See what? What "reality check"? He wasn't benched for performance, he was rested just like Kai and Ø. Quit acting like there's a lesson there when it's literally just normal rotation.
@IvanGowan@themagic_tophat Oh? Is that why PGMOL didn't send City players off for blatant red fouls in the 2nd half of the season? Khusanov DOGSO fouls in 3 diff games, Foden blatant red tackle on Bassey v. Fulham, Bernardo Silva punched a Brentford player's leg... easy send offs if PGMOL were told to, no?
@FcbMiasanmia8@ArteTalibann@4thburnerlmao@MusialaEra No, I'm responding to your "they can only play one style at a top level" attempt to diminish Arsenal's play while hyping up a PSG attack that were gifted a pen to stay in that game. Arsenal attacked, scored first & chose not to chase a more rested team around the pitch. Context.
@FcbMiasanmia8@ArteTalibann@4thburnerlmao@MusialaEra That fancy PSG attack only passed sideways & took speculative long shots for 120mins & were gifted a penalty against what you think is an inferior team. Only Arsenal scored in open play. They didn't owe PSG an easy game & teams are allowed to have their own identity/style of play
@FcbMiasanmia8@ArteTalibann@4thburnerlmao@MusialaEra Arsenal played 60+ games last season. If they played attacking ball in the final, they'd have to run a lot against a team that had the luxury of coming to the final with key players barely touching 2k minutes. They needed help to win against a tired Arsenal. Spare me the hype.
@JonDoeJD@kimmoFC I'm almost certain Arteta has started that Ø+Bruno+Rice midfield exactly once so we can't exactly read that much into what he wants. What we know for a fact is that he has shown he's willing to start MLS in midfield in the biggest final & for almost every game so far this season.
@idontfollowne1@feliciacoltony1@Brightonian_ Just in the last few seasons we've seen Utd & Spurs nearly relegated, Chelsea sitting mid-table & failing to qualify into any European comp when a newly promoted team in Sunderland did. Liverpool qualified into CL by the skin of their teeth & Villa freq challenges in Europe.
@idontfollowne1@feliciacoltony1@Brightonian_ Teams freq at the top, especially with consistent qual into Europe, will have spent years building a SUSTAINABLE financial base that supports their sporting ambitions. Doesn't make them entitled to stay top & those teams ARE being challenged by newer teams even with current rules
@idontfollowne1@feliciacoltony1@Brightonian_ Clubs that weren't competitive before the rules changes have become more competitive domestically and in Europe and somehow that points to an attempt to maintain the status quo?
@GeorgeWales13@kedarsawant33@maineroadmerc@TridgeTV I take it you've never left your hometown then? Or do you pick a new local club to support every time you move? And does your club only sign local players, or do they import talent who come with new fans and viewership for whom you have so much disdain?
@markcity4eva@mrwicksy@Tony_Beam1@themagic_tophat@ss55@etihad Curious - what makes you think City wouldn't have been compelled to provide the original 'unedited' emails to prove their case? It likely would have saved them tens of millions in litigation costs, no?
@subiewerk@ArsenalWFC Renee didn't cause Misa and Leah to concede such a ridiculous penalty (or the defensive errors that lost them the last game against Chelsea). She has her faults but sometimes the players cause their own problems too.
