@Drug_Researcher The main goal of meditation from everything I've been taught is to bring your focus back to the present. Some people find that sitting isn't helpful. Anything can be meditative: walking, washing dishes, playing with your pet... if you're being present in the moment.

@artifexfelix @melanierose Technically, Oregon was the first to decriminalize all drugs, not just psychedelics. That happened in 2020.

@pshields200 @cnnbrk The Walmart shooter didn't appear to be targeting one set of people like the grocery store shooter was. Both crimes are heinous. One was a hate crime because it targeted Black people (grocery store). One was a hateful person lashing out in the worst way (Walmart).

@russtaylor56 @drrickbarnett "Heroic" is an actual term for a large dose because it's courageous to take that much. Often considered 5g or more of dried mushrooms, not sure what's considered heroic for other psychedelics, but it's a real term, along with mini-dose and museum dose. Nothing macho about it. 😊

But all the #psychedelic research I've seen indicates that long-term benefits come from the narrative that occurs during the hallucinations, or at least the process of the journey itself. Sad that this new model binds people again to taking a pill.

@RCarhartHarris Oooh, this is interesting! I've been wondering if breathwork is safe for people with bipolar or schizophrenia because people say you can get similar benefits to psychedelic journeys, but is that because of the altered state or neuroplasticity? Looking forward to this study!
