@WodcNews Interesting move and a couple of thoughts...
1) Could you start to collect extra recycling that doesn't fit into the blue bin? I'm only a household of 2 but often have excess recycling
2) Could the old sites be turned into useful community spaces e.g. community gardens?
Have been out of my home office today, driving around Oxford delivering food parcels. So nice to see the city again and so much respect ✊ for delivery drivers and drivers of big vehicles in general (I was nervous in a relatively small Transit van)! 🚛 Also sadly reminded me...
Soooo nice to go for a pre-work swim this morning 🏊♂️ (first time since March). Thanks to the team @Better_UK Windrush Leisure Centre for being so helpful and having the place running so smoothly 👍
@CleanAirUK I'm not, but I will (thanks for the suggestion!). I did do a 'FixMyStreet' re the Duck Ln issue and it's been 'passed for future consideration' (which I think means thrown in the gutter). Here's to a greener, healthier recovery 💚
A drop kerb or easy way of leaving the cycle lane and joining Burwell Drive. Equally useful would be to turn the desire line by the lay-by and underpass into a proper lane (to make the journey smoother). What do you think @OxfordshireCC and @OxonCyclingNet?
Cycled to Oxford from Witney yesterday for the first time in many months via @A40Oxford 🚲 path. Forgot how motor-centric and bumpy the route is. So many give way to traffic sections, which could easily be reversed. Could this be considered for EATF2 funding @OxfordshireCC?
On the wish list would also be a cycle lane from the West Witney A40 slip road that joins the main cycle path (so cyclists don't have to ride on the dual carriageway or through town). Upgrading the cycle path on Ducklington Lane in Witney would be wonderful, too. Could do with..
Thanks to the awesome team @Oxonlibraries Central Library today for being so welcoming and helping me find this book 📖 Now to start reading by the riverside - what better way to spend the afternoon?! ☀️
Well done @Tesco for making a 100% recycled plastic bag 🛍 Would like to see others follow and more stuff made from UK recycled materials please #circulareconomy ⭕️ ♻️ 💚
The OxfoE online monthly meeting on Weds 8 July at 7.30pm will look at how we can work to ensure air quality improves for the longer term and not just in lockdown. We have two excellent speakers, Suzanne Bartington & Brian Stacey.

Why don’t we…introduce beavers to Oxfordshire to naturally help increase flood defences? And create more wetlands? Agree? Visit https://t.co/sP9eMEZSiq and be part of the conversation. #openthought#Oxfordshire
A few weeks ago we took the opportunity of an almost traffic-free Oxford to get local historian Liz Woolley to point out some places and things you might miss under more normal circumstances. See the video here https://t.co/ZA7U2copEJ
