Climate change for the sakes of short term economic gain. I was very optimistic about our future and our ability to change from fossil fuels, but after 2019 Iโm really not sure. We have too many leaders who are motivated by money and greed than the well being on earth and humans.
I used to think that in order for our governments to take climate change seriously, then we would have to see some sort of catastrophic disaster. Well if the California and Amazonia fires werenโt bad enough, Australia lost 1 billion animals!! And leaders are still denying...
The greenhouse gasses we are emitting into our atmosphere are the cause for increased fires across the globe, from the Amazon, to Siberia, to Australia! We are the cause! ๐ฒ๐ฅ

My gap year ends in August, but it doesnโt take a college degree in economics to realise that our remaining 1,5ยฐ carbon budget and ongoing fossil fuel subsidies and investments donโt add up. 1/3
