today, on Independence Day. Shri @vrtiwari1 (IFS) was present along with @AdarshReddyIFS Sir & @NeenuSomaraj madam
Despite the heavy rains #MangroveSoldiers and @NMMCCommr @MangroveForest team worked together to clean-up Sarsole Jetty.

Despite navigating deep mud & swarms of mosquitoes, it was a very tough day dedicated to learning the geography and waste issues of this new site & 20 volunteers collected over 10,000 pieces of trash, consisting mostly of FMCG waste, liquor bottles etc.

Why? Because too many people treat our rivers, nalas, and mangroves like a personal garbage dump. We obsess over keeping the inside of our houses spotless, then step outside and spit, drop wrappers, or throw full trash in open.
