On October 3, 2026, at approximately 2:30 AM local time, a drone strike carried out by the fascist regime of Abiy Ahmed targeted an IDP shelter in Sheraro, in the district of Hayelom. According to the Sheraro Communication Office, the strike killed eight innocent civilians, including a child, and seriously injured six others.
