The Best of the Best From Where The Best Come From! Producer for Connecticut Today on WICC, one half of the @BrownstownUSA Podcast, writer for the @3ptcnvrsn
@thedawgspodcast Even doing it back then…their 2022 first was already sent to the lions…the earliest we would have gotten was 2024 (coincidentally, the pick used on Jared Verse) & the next quarterbacks available was Rattler & Milton…& the 2025 first rounder would have been 26th..not great
The development of this young #Browns roster should be fun, the 2027 draft is where the rubber needs to meet the road. This isn’t a slant against Sanders or Watson, BUT they have a year show up, objects are closer than they appear
& yes, @SparkScouting inspired one

@GgZappe@SparkScouting One correction, that’s CJ Bailey from NC State, not Mensah
But you’re absolutely right. I mean these four, CJ Carr, Julian Sayin, Drew Mestemaker, Jayden Maiava, Jaden Craig, Nico Iamaleava, Sam Leavitt, Drake Lindsey…and that’s just scratching the potential surface
@DavidTalevski3 Trust me, the Vikings game still keeps me up at night….especially as that was a game that should have given Gabriel his first win…instead, it was a crap show
Jim, let’s be real:
1. You’re lying about not being mad, you threw a tantrum that multiple people reported on
2. Your defense, as good as it was, once figured out, was exploited hard
3. You have a history of bitterness
4. Sounded like your OFF. plan sucked

Ex-#Browns DC Jim Schwartz opens up on leaving Cleveland after not getting the HC job:
"We had a lot of success on defense. The Browns made a change at HC and they passed over me with all of the success we had…”

@JackRafff123@SparkScouting High end back up, possible low to mid tier starter. He has some stuff that I do like but last year the decision making and parts of his game made me question his future here a bit
@JackRafff123@SparkScouting Watson had his chance, barring an Alex Smith comeback type of year, no…even then, you may give him a bridge deal/one year to help bring the next guy along, should styles align
Sanders is trickier, there are times he looks like a first rounder & times he looks like a fifth
@SparkScouting Hey if he can build off of his skills, you’re looking at someone who really makes things interesting (plus I’m not fully sold on CJ Carr or Darien Mensah yet as NFL QBs)
@Jollybgood@Phyllis94584953 Just like “keep politics out of music and sports”…followed quickly by “I bet that picture of Nick Bosa with the MAGA hat” or “That Kid Rock song was awesome, go get them liberals Kid!”
Both sides do it, no doubt but currently it’s the MAGA’s turn to do so & big is it loud
I’ve seen so many people change the ending to The Boys where Homelander wins, using AI on this app, that it’s like why? The final season left a lot to be desired and the finale was good but not great, but Homelander winning really isn’t a great choice
Two more interesting notes: Cleveland did talk with Philly & asked for Jalen Carter in return, that tells me that they valued a young, cornerstone type player on the defensive line in return over draft capital. Rams also didn’t want to give up Verse but felt they were forced to.
It’s been about a day so I’ll give you my thoughts on the #Browns trading Myles Garrett to the Rams for Jared Verse. I’ll do more stuff like signings/targets, the future of & more later this week, BUT the trade deserves its own thread.

Final Thought: I wouldn’t say I’m a fan of the trade but I don’t despise it. I’m not calling for Andrew Berry’s head like others but I do wonder what the plan is. Even with back-to-back good drafts (on paper), are we a year away or one position/draft away (won’t say which)?
