"They [Earthquakes] don't just destroy buildings and the people in them. They shred at the layers of protection around children," said Mark Calder, @WVAfghanistan Advocacy and Communications Director.

The 6.0 magnitude earthquake in Kunar, Afghanistan on 1 September, and the 5.2 magnitude aftershock on 2 September has killed more than 1,400 people and injured thousands. In his interview on #CNN, Mark stressed the need to act quickly and generously.

Day in and day out, children in Gaza continue to be killed and injured, no matter where they are, as violence continues and aid remains severely insufficient.
