@Bederowlaw But we don't know (nor should we unless he wants to share) his reasoning, we only know what someone who disagree with him's interpretation was. I can't imagine someone who I disagree with down to my core having reign to qualify my position.
@Bederowlaw@Kristin49765356 We only know the forepersons interpretation of lone jurors reasoning (and I wouldn't want someone I disagree with having sole reign to qualify my arguments) and for D/C to make very definitive statements of bias, liar, perjury, ect seems highly questionable- ethically.
@Bederowlaw Foreperson should be instructed on what cant be included in notes for future trials.
So, forepersons interpretation taken as fact and lone juror can't defend self? Inferences made based on the note and now lone juror called a liar in open court & upcoming legal papers? Yikes
@LawyerYouKnow Note said "doubt" NOT reasonable doubt as D/C&reporters keep saying. The juror doesn't get to write a note explaining his reasoning (not should he) as delibs are supposed to be private. Jury instructions re: what can be inc in notes should be given in future trials.
@LawyerYouKnow The fact that we [Judge/Attys/Public] know the vote breakdown and who is voting how while deliberations are ongoing is very problematic for the integrity of the process.

@TheCarolErskine I'm very curious if anyone ever filed a 51A. If a mandated reported knew she had thoughts of harming her children they should have. If they didn't know then I have questions about the candidness and that raises more questions.
@JennyM29308864@Evi96907052@LawyerYouKnow KR spoke about how the case will change everyone, judge, jurors & attorneys. The ADA had been working on this for 3 years. Compassion isn't limited to the accused. It's day 1. I saw the chart. & now I'm waiting to hear the evidence. May justice be done whatever it is.
@Bederowlaw Defense won the opening battle but at the end of day 1, LC was shown to be deceptive to her husband about her meds & her treatment...regularly. DA should have told jury she would present as the bad guy to fight for the kids, give them context to her apathy as now she seems cold.
@JennyM29308864@Evi96907052@LawyerYouKnow The ADA has presented several instances of LCs repeated deception re: medication and treatment- to her husband and to her prescribers . It's early on, but opening are not evidence, and I give day 1 to the CW too.
@LawyerYouKnow I do think in closing the ADA has to address that she appears to be the bad guy in this- questioning PC, photos to the jurors, presenting the evidence infront of grandparents... But that they arnt there b/c of her but LCs actions and that's she's seeking justice for those kids.
@LawyerYouKnow I think the defenses opening was superior, but, I think the ADA has elicited some good evidence on day 1. Things I haven't heard living in MA. She may be going with a "just the facts" presentation , and lacked the polish and showmanship of KR. Which, really, is what one wants.
@TheCarolErskine@Bederowlaw The m*rder Justin comment was so questionable when even if you credit his narrative, suicide by cop is more plausible. He may be telling the truth, but as the CWs case in chief ends...is it possible she was trying to harm herself.... Reasonable Doubt.
