Wha Fed gov. needs to do is return to status quo ante & restor Tigray's constitutional land & return the IDPs. This is not only TPLF's call, it's from all Tegaru & peace loving people. War at any pretext is the aim of merchants of war.
@TiborPNagyJr Nagy, your points are nagging! TPLF never been dominant, nor blocking any leadership of other states in Eth. Every elect representing their province have had enough power. How do you see now all Oromo pp? There is no any Tigrian in all sectors of Eth. So do u think we take that?

With due respect, it would have been believable if you weren’t part of the rote underlying the organization. I believe that the TPLF needs to root out the remaining rotten rank and file in order to champion the triumph and glory of its past. Sadly the rote is always at the top. Luckily, some of those who joined for fame and belly have shown their true colors by aligning with a genocidal regime and leader in Ethiopia. Good riddance - for me though it has been Disheartening and Disappointing to witness it!!
#Tigray People's Liberation Front calls on #African_Union to "convene and facilitate, without delay, a structured political dialogue between the signatories [of the Pretoria agreement] that addresses the underlying political, security, and governance drivers of the conflict."
🚨 Avert Catastrophic War in Ethiopia
According to news reports and an urgent press statement from #TPLF and implicit nudge in an article by ousted former president of Tigray, who is serving the genocidal Abiy regime, @reda_getachew , Prime Minister Abiy appears poised to “launch a full‑scale military offensive against Tigray at any moment.”
Note: it’s not clear who writes such articles since it has become customary in Abiy’s land to put names of people on articles- good examples were @AJEnglish article by Mulatu and another one by Bacha. 🤔
Large numbers of federal troops, including tanks and heavy artillery, have reportedly been deployed to the Tigray border, presented publicly as preparations for a confrontation with Eritrea.
Many knowledgeable analysts indicate that “any attempt to gain sea access by force or to eliminate the #TDF is unrealistic, these goals were unattainable in 2020 and are no more feasible now.”
“With both Fano forces and Eritrea now openly hostile to Abiy, the situation risks escalating into an uncontrollable disaster.”
I believe that the consequences of another war would be catastrophic: large‑scale civilian deaths, destruction of critical infrastructure, widespread sexual violence, and a humanitarian crisis that could destabilize the entire region.
If the international community and especially the United States, as sponsor of the Pretoria agreement, fail to intervene diplomatically, they risk once again being complicit, despite repeated commitments to a “never again.”

#Op_ed: Redrawing Borders by Force: Western #Tigray, unmaking of #Ethiopia’s federal system
https://t.co/1RLkjVP6ZF
For decades, Western Tigray was administered as part of Ethiopia’s Tigray Regional State under the 1995 constitution. That constitutional order collapsed in November 2020, when #Amhara regional forces, backed by the federal military, seized the area during the war in Tigray. What followed, argues Gebremichael Negas, the author of this op-ed, was not a routine territorial dispute but “a campaign of ethnic cleansing,” marked by mass expulsions, sexual violence, and forced demographic change.
He contends that while Amhara nationalist actors frame the takeover as a “historical correction,” historical records and census data tell a different story. Federal censuses conducted in 1994 and 2007 show that the population of the area was more than 87% and 92% Tigrayan, respectively. The author further emphasizes that Article 46(2) of the constitution is unambiguous: “State boundaries shall be determined on the basis of the settlement patterns, language, identity, and consent of the peoples concerned.”
Gebremichael cautions that these events signal a broader existential threat to the nation, underscoring that "the crisis in Western Tigray is not an isolated border quarrel. It is the most acute symptom of a spreading disease that threatens to dismantle Ethiopia’s federal system from within." For the author, the path forward is a binary one: "The choice is stark: reaffirm the foundational principles of self-determination, equality, and rule of law, or accept a future where the country’s internal borders are redrawn by blood and iron."
@SeifGebre When " they" collaborate to hurt Tigray you opposed, now when "they" collaborate to help us defend ourselves you oppose. Did you here TDF/TPLF/IGOT complain of the allegations? If you can't see this as a pretext to start war .... Semritca do?
