Hi @Ed_Miliband please explain why the @FCDOGovUK permitted @DNormanFCDO to participate in a disgraceful and insulting visit between September 11–12 2026, whereby Azerbaijani presidential adviser Hikmet Hajiyev accompanied an Azeri government-organised delegation of 150 representatives from 58 countries and nine international organisations that took them through Nagorno-Karabakh/Artsakh, including visits to Gandzasar and Dadivank.

Why did the United Kingdom participate in such a delegation clearly intended to solidify the deliberate efforts of Azerbaijan to erase Armenian history and presence?

During Hikmet Hajiyev’s visit to Gandzasar with foreign diplomats, an Azerbaijani tour guide stopped by a gravestone and admitted that, “unfortunately, she could not read” the inscription.

The reason is obvious: the inscription is written in #Armenian letters.

The paradox is that visitors are being told about an alleged “Caucasian Albanian heritage,” while the stones themselves repeatedly expose the contradiction. Armenian inscriptions, khachkars, the names of #Armenian princes and epitaphs remain there.

An excursion script can be prepared, a convenient narrative can be constructed and repeated to foreign diplomats. But the falsification cannot be carried through to the end: the #Armenian inscriptions, khachkars and gravestones remain in place, directly contradicting what visitors are being presented as “Caucasian Albanian heritage.”

The British establishment’s hypocrisy towards Israel and Cyprus is astonishing.

Despite being a “guarantor state” for the Republic of Cyprus, Britain chose not to stop the Turkish invasion in 1974.

British diplomatic and military passivity allowed Turkey to invade and ethnically cleanse Greeks from the northern third of the island nation, leading to its illegal partition along what is now known as the Green Line.

Today, Brits have a so-called “diplomatic office” in the Turkish-occupied part of Nicosia. Thousands of Brits live in the occupied area of Cyprus full time. Some purchase property. This, despite the fact that the property they buy belonged to the Greeks who were expelled by Turkey from northern Cyprus through atrocities and forced displacements.

Judea and Samaria, however, are part of the ancient Jewish homeland liberated in 1967 by Israel in a defensive war begun by Jordanian occupiers who unilaterally labeled the land as its “West Bank.”

Meanwhile, the British government is playing the tough guy against Israel when all it is a coward trying to appease Muslims in Britian.

А ничего, что:
1. России не было тогда даже в проекте, было Московское княжество, и Донской никого не объединял, наоборот - беспрерывно враждовал с соседями, такими же русскими княжествами; Россия появилась лишь несколько веков спустя
2. Мамай вообще не был никаким ханом, тем более - ханом Орды
3. Папой Римским в то время был Урбан VI, он занимал престол очень недолго, всего два года, и был с головой занят внутрицерковными распрями (против него даже антипапу выбрали), ему было глубоко наплевать на Мамая и Русь
4. "Генуэзская пехота" в войске Мамая на Куликовом поле - это идиотская выдумка просто потому, что в войске Мамая вообще не было пехоты, оно целиком состояло из конницы
5. К тому же в то время генуэзские колонии на Чёрном море с Мамаем были на ножах
6. Литовский князь Ягайло не спешил на помощь Мамаю, на Куликово поле он так и не пришёл
7. Зато некоторые младшие князья-литовцы со своими дружинами сражались в войске Дмитрия Донского против Мамая

Но зачем российскому режиму факты. Ему надо и к Куликовской битве приплести страшный Запад, якобы желавший извести Русь.
Приплести ради сегодняшних бредней Путина.
И поверьте, уже очень скоро именно "историю" в духе данного репортажа будут преподавать в российских школах вашим детям.

🇦🇲🇦🇿Azerbaijan is building 17 tunnels near the Armenian border

#Azerbaijan is constructing a new road that will shorten the distance between #Kalbajar and #Lachin. The project includes 17 tunnels, 7 viaducts, 14 bridges, and 212 culverts.

A project of this scale would make little sense if its sole purpose were to connect two small towns with populations of a few hundred people, potentially growing to a few thousand in the future.

This road should instead be viewed in the broader context of unblocking regional transport routes. Kalbajar is located next to #Armenia’s #Vardenis, while the distance between Lachin and Armenia’s #Goris is only about 30 km.

I suspect that #Baku is considering not only the implementation of the #TRIPP project, but also the reopening of other roads that connected Armenia and Azerbaijan during the Soviet era.

В 1991 году, после ГКЧП, очень силён был хор голосов, убеждавших, что нельзя устраивать "охоту на ведьм", что люстрации - не наш метод, что "мы должны быть выше мести", что недопустимо объявлять КГБ и прочие части репрессивного аппарата преступными организациями.
Если конец путинского режима будет похож на конец режима советского, то этот хор мы непременно услышим снова.
Так вот: ни в коем случае нельзя дать этому хору снова убедить нас.

По факту снятия "Яблока" повторю то, что сказал вчера: практически моментальная отмена собственного решения о допуске - самое худшее, что могла сделать власть.
Худшее для неё самой.
В стерильной, зачищенной, абсолютно контролируемой ситуации режим умудрился наделать хаотических взаимоисключающих шагов, да ещё и выставить себя напуганным (возможно, на самом деле режим и не напуган, но выглядит он именно так).
Да, вот ещё что. Очевидно, что последнее слово внутри режима опять осталось за силовиками. Они опять продавили своё решение, сделали ещё шаг к своей стратегической цели. Эта цель - перевод экономики, общества, страны в целом на 100% в формат осаждённой крепости, на военные рельсы. Достижение ими этой цели - только вопрос времени.
