@ErikNolife @Pastor_Gabe Romans 8:26-27 The Holy Spirit interceding for us with groanings also takes us out of the picture entirely. As it is a conversation between the Spirit and the Father, too deep for words. This doesn't lend itself to a spiritual gift discourse or speaking in tongues

@EmeritusTolu @ErikNolife @Pastor_Gabe And the OT quote in verse 21, "By men of strange tongues..." refers to people who speak foreign languages. When the Apostles spoke in tongues in Acts 2, even the languages they spoke were listed

@EmeritusTolu @ErikNolife @Pastor_Gabe You can't isolate verse 2. You need to interpret the verse in the context of the whole chapter (and in the context of the new testament) to decipher that the real gift of tongues is actually the gift of languages.
